High Voltage Battery Certificate

A battery is a key component of all Plug-in Hybrid and Electric vehicles which is why every electric and plug-in hybrid vehicle we sell comes with a High voltage Battery Certificate, covering technical malfunctions with the battery arising from an inherent manufacturing fault.

The Battery Certificate is valid for up to a maximum distance of 100,000 miles (160,000 km) or up to eight (8) years from the date of initial registration whichever comes sooner (“Electric Warranty Period”).

Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) use batteries to power the electric motor alongsde another fuel such as petrol or diesel, to power the internal combustion engine.

These batteries need to be plugged in and charged by a source of electricity.

What is Mild Hybrid?

Mild Hybrid vehicles use two or more distinctive types of power, such as petrol or diesel, and an electric motor.

To charge the battery, the vehicle does not need to be plugged into a power source. Instead, the internal combustion engine charges it.
