The New G-Class: Stronger than time.

As released by Mercedes-Benz UK, 02/18. Discover a legend reborn. An off-road icon since 1979, the G-Class has undergone the most significant overhaul in its illustrious history — and the results are sensational. Almost every component of this remarkable vehicle has been updated and improved. In fact, its door handles are one of the few elements that remains entirely unchanged. As for performance, the latest G-Class is some 170 kg lighter yet features an even more rigid construction. Coupled with improvements to the suspension, this enables more agile and precise handling on the road and even greater off-road capabilities. Yet fans of the distinctive G-Class look have nothing to fear. The familiar body shape is still there, along with signature features such as the external door hinges. We’ve simply refined the overall styling, and added a few striking touches such as new-look headlamps. Inside, increased dimensions provide extra space all round, while the seats are heated and ergonomically designed for maximum comfort and support. Alongside trademark features such as the grab bar on the dashboard, there’s a wealth of technology available, ranging from driver assistance systems such as Parking Assist to the optional widescreen cockpit display, as seen on the S-Class and E-Class.

The new Mercedes-AMG G 63

The all-new Mercedes-AMG G 63 brings the next generation of the legendary G-Class sharply into focus. Its bold exterior blends a classic silhouette with unashamedly sporty features including the AMG radiator grille and bumper with large side air inlets. Other highlights include flared front and rear wheel arches creating space for the larger 22-inch wheels. Red brake callipers and perforated brake discs add striking detail to a robust, yet athletic stance. Equipped with the latest AMG 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine, the AMG G 63 generates 585 hp and a massive 850 Nm of torque. On the road, this translates into a lightning quick zero to 62 mph sprint in just 4.5 seconds. Combined with the 9-speed automatic transmission and AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive, which features rear-biased torque distribution with a 40:60 split, the AMG G 63 commands the road with greater agility than ever before. Off-road, the G 63 upholds class-leading credentials with the off-road reduction gear, which has been specially developed for demanding terrain. Meanwhile the three differential locks allow you to respond to driving conditions at the flick of a switch and whilst driving. Coupled with the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT, there are a choice of five on-road and three off-road driving modes at your disposal. The newly developed AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension complements the setup, offering enhanced stability and traction, with the added benefit of adaptive damping for improved ride comfort – whatever the terrain. Luxurious touches add to the interior styling, with notable features including a completely redesigned dashboard and new nappa-leather AMG Performance steering wheel as standard.
