Thanks to its cutting-edge electric drivetrain, lightweight design, use of sustainable materials, and a barrage of innovative and intelligent efficiency measures, VISION EQXX allows us to discover a new frontier of efficiency. Numbers and statistics that have never been seen before.

Based on internal digital simulations in real-life traffic conditions, the VISION EQXX is capable of exceeding 1,000 kilometres* (620 miles) on a single charge, boasting an outstanding energy consumption of less than 10 kWh per 100 kilometres (efficiency of more than 6 miles per kWh).

The solution to increasing range isn’t always by adding bigger and heavier batteries though. By ripping up the automotive engineering handbook and designing the VISION EQXX from the ground up, Mercedes-Benz engineers found innovative ways to rebuild key components of this all-electric sensation.

To achieve the highly ambitious goal of single-digit kilowatt hours per 100 kilometres, Mercedes-Benz engineers redesigned the battery so it could accommodate more energy, from a smaller and lighter package. The addition of innovative hardware and software supports its long-distance stamina, while solar panels built into the roof feed the battery system for up to 25km of extra range.

Sustainable Luxury

These ground-breaking figures are combined with the fundamental Mercedes-Benz principals of modern luxury and Sensual Purity. For the first time, Mercedes-Benz is using a game engine to elevate the user experience to the next level of digital luxury. From this, the car is equipped with an AI-based digital soul sat behind the free floating one-piece display helping the car and driver work together to achieve an even greater efficiency.

The interior of the VISION EQXX has a very balanced relationship with nature too, promising comfort and style from new and lightweight materials with very small environmental footprints. Door pulls made from a biodegradable vegan silk and carpets made from bamboo highlight the sustainable and efficient vision behind the project.

The stunning exterior is minimalist and extraordinary. The clean design and clever proportions not only make it extremely attractive to the eye, but also result in pioneering aerodynamics helping to increase the range even further.
