The New Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupé

The GLC Coupé stands out with its stylish design and dynamic driving experience. As the sporty sibling of our most popular SUV, the GLC, it completes our popular Mercedes-Benz series of vehicles. Even before the engine starts, the vehicle's appearance exudes elegance, dynamism and a sense of off-road adventure. Let’s take a closer look at the features on the New Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupé after its facelift.

Exterior Design

At first glance the GLC Coupé is instantly recognizable as a member of the Mercedes-Benz SUV family, thanks to its sporty silhouette, which is its defining feature. It comes standard with the AVANTGARDE exterior, which includes 18-inch light alloy wheels and a chrome package. Hybrid models have mixed-profile tires with different widths on the front and rear axles. The seamless transition from the headlights to the radiator grille emphasizes the car's width, which is further highlighted by the muscular wheel arches. The Mercedes-Benz pattern is also a standard feature on the radiator grille cover.

The exterior design of the GLC Coupé features dramatic surfaces with precisely molded edges, striking the perfect balance between elegance and power. The AMG Line model is available with 19-inch or 20-inch mixed-profile tires and wheel arch liners in the chosen vehicle colour. The Night package is optional, as are easy-entry running boards. The vehicle's sporty and confident appearance is enhanced by the wide track and flush wheels in sizes ranging from 18 to 20 inches. The factory wheels also come in high-sheen finishes with bicolour surfaces and their aerodynamics are optimised by their sleek shape. The width of the vehicle is accentuated by the two-part tail lights, which have black-coloured and dark red connecting elements and are closed off below by a simulated chrome underguard.

Interior Design

Just like the exterior the modern AVANTGARDE line equips the interior of the new GLC Coupé as standard. The dashboard has a clear structure, with the upper section featuring a wing-like profile and new flattened vent outlets, to give a smooth and sleek appearance. The lower section has a generous trim area that flows seamlessly into the curved centre console. A 12.3-inch high-resolution LCD screen appears to float freely above the wing profile and trim surface in front of the driver, while an 11.9-inch central display rises from the centre console and appears to float above the trim surface. Both screens are slightly angled towards the driver.

The seat design is visually light, with layers and contoured surfaces, the head restraints have also been redesigned and now feature an enclosed cover that connects to the backrest. A leather-lined dashboard with nappa-look beltlines is offered as a special feature (standard for the AMG Line). Some trim elements have innovative surfaces, including interpretations of open-pored wood veneers in brown, anthracite, and black with aluminium inlays to define the sophistication of this stylish SUV.

Equipment Upgrades

As previously mentioned, the AVANTGARDE Line is fitted as standard and includes large displays, smartphone integration, wireless phone charging, and heated seats for both drivers and passengers. The package options have also been simplified for customer convenience, with frequently combined features now available in packages.

More Electric Than Ever

The GLC Coupé effortlessly blends sports performance with exceptional efficiency. It boasts electric drive technology in all models, whether as a plug-in hybrid with ample all-electric range for everyday use. Alternatively, you can opt for a mild hybrid featuring 48-volt technology and an integrated starter-generator for extra power and energy recuperation. In terms of versatility, the GLC Coupé is a true all-rounder. It offers remarkable comfort and agility on both on- and off-road terrains, with a standard sports suspension. To further enhance its manoeuvrability, an optional 4.5° rear axle steering is available as part of the Technology package, along with AIRMATIC air suspension. The Coupé's off-road capabilities are equally impressive, with features like 4MATIC all-wheel drive and purely electric off-road driving in the plug-in models. The off-road screen and "transparent bonnet" (available as an element of the 360° camera) further enhance the driving experience, making it an absolute pleasure to drive on any terrain.

Sophisticating Parking Systems

You may be nervous around parking this vehicle due to its beastly length and width, but it’s sophisticated parking systems mean it’s now easier and safer than ever to Park. With its enhanced environment sensors, the parking systems in the new model of the GLC Coupé provide more efficient support to drivers during manoeuvring. MBUX integration makes the operation more intuitive, and visual display enhances the driver's experience. The optional rear-axle steering is integrated into the parking assistant and calculates the paths accordingly, making the driving experience more comfortable and safer for all road users.

The new Parking package, available as an optional extra, includes the 360° camera with the “transparent bonnet” feature and active parking assist functions with PARKTRONIC. The package offers all-round visibility, and the central display shows the immediate surroundings clearly. Four cameras provide images, and a virtual bird's-eye view is generated. The display also shows different viewing angles such as front, rear, or trailer mode. Drivers can choose to park themselves or let the parking assistant take control. The Memory Parking Assistant remembers parking locations such as home garages and allows the driver to choose to carry out the automatic parking process. If obstacles are detected, the system stops until they are removed.
