Meet the Team: Stephen Bishop, Service Manager
This month's Meet the Team takes us to Cornwall to meet Stephen Bishop, Service Manager at Mercedes-Benz of Truro.
Tell us about yourself Stephen: I have always liked nice cars, but I stumbled into the motor trade as my vehicle engineering teacher was the only one that could control me! I grew up in South Birmingham, with a love for football and an addiction for everything Mod (music and fashion). I spent all of my teens and my twenties (and thirties!) following my first love, Birmingham City. I left school and got a YTS as a mechanic but it was not for me and I joined Vauxhall Motors as Service Advisor. I went on to become a Service Manager at the age of 25, then moved on to Volkswagen as a Service Manager. I moved down to Newquay nine years ago to re-marry and I have two wonderful children back in Birmingham. Eventually, I took on the role of Service Manager at our Truro site so I have worked in the motor trade my whole life.
