Meet The Team: Our Drivers

This month we’re meeting a team that is at the centre of our operations and keeps us moving, our Drivers. Our drivers work closely with our teams. Without them we wouldn’t be able to offer our delivery service for our sales customers and our collection and delivery process for our service customers.

Interview Highlights
Tim: “I’ve been with Mercedes-Benz South West for six years, prior to that I was a police officer for Devon and Cornwall police. I coordinate the team of drivers, managing the logistics within the team. My favourite part about the job is actually meeting the customers, when we go out there and deliver their cars. You just don’t know who you’re going to meet and you see some really interesting people”.
Rich: “I’m one of the service delivery drivers here at Mercedes-Benz of Exeter, prior to this I worked within the public sector and part of my role there was an advanced blue light service driver. We try and deliver the highest possible service that we can to our customers.”
Kim: “I’ve worked for Mercedes-Benz South West for the last two and a half years, prior to this I worked for 46 years at Devon and Cornwall police. This job is just lovely, we get to see some great places as well.”
Joe: “I have been with the company for five years and previously I was in the Royal Marines for 38 years. My favourite part of this job is our work life balance, the team that I work in really look after each other and I enjoy being part of the team. Every day of work is a memorable day for me.”
Nick: “I’m a driver at Mercedes-Benz of Exeter, I was a financial advisor for 40 years. My favourite thing about this job is the interactions I get to have with our customers, we also have a great comradery within the Drivers Team.”
