Meet the Team: Jeff Mortimore, Group Parts Manager
Meet the Team returns! This month we catch up with Group Parts Manager Jeff Mortimore who has been with Mercedes-Benz South West since the day we began, back in 2002.
Tell us a bit about yourself Jeff: I have worked for MB since 1984, originally with vans and trucks, but passenger car since 1994. I live in Brixton in the South Hams, am married to Hannah, with children and grandchildren. I am extremely interested in music, have played in a local Plymouth band for 16 years, follow Liverpool avidly
How long have you been working at Mercedes-Benz South West? Since January 1st 2002 – the day the company formed
Where are you from? Exeter originally
Favourite Mercedes-Benz model? Currently the GLC ( I can get my band kit in it!) Most memorable day you've ever had? The day the parts team were announced as the Parts Team of the Year in the UK
Favourite part of the job? Resolving issues
What's your favourite animal? Do you have any pets? 1 dog, Betty, 1 cat, Hobbes, and 2 guineas!
Best holiday you’ve ever been on? My recent honeymoon in Costa Rica
How many attempts did it take you to pass your driving test? Two
What radio station are you listening to when you drive? Absolute – unless Liverpool are on Radio 5 live
Favourite place to visit in the South West? Sytoke Beach, near Noss Mayo – we have a holiday home there.
Favourite Film? Rock’n’rolla – Guy Ritchie film
Tipple of choice? Any real ale
Favourite Band or Artist? Many, but if I had to pick someone who I could still go to watch - Stereophonics
What was the first concert you ever went to? AC/DC
If the world ends tomorrow, what would you choose as your last meal? A really good fillet steak, med/rare
What's at the top of your bucket list? Touring America in a winnebago with Hannah and Betty – for as long as it takes
Finally… Jam then cream, or cream then jam? Cream then jam. Obviously!
