Meet the Team: Dave Barenskie, Parts Supervisor
In our latest Meet the Team installment we caught up with Dave Barenskie, Parts Supervisor from Mercedes-Benz of Plymouth. In this edition we learn about Dave's most memorable day at work and his dream to visit Australia.
Tell us a bit about yourself Dave:
Away from work I enjoy gardening, going to the gym and time spent with my family. Where are you from? Plymouth.
Favourite Mercedes-Benz model? I am still new to the brand so my knowledge of older models is limited so with that in mind my favourite model is the GLE.
Most memorable day at work you’ve ever had? The introduction to Mercedes Benz day at Brooklands, very interesting to learn the history of the brand and awesome to drive the different models.
Have you always been in the motor trade? I've been in the motor trade for 38 years.
What did you do before? Before that I spent a couple of months working in a local builders merchants.
Favourite part of the job? The team I work with are fantastic, so being part of this team is the best part of my job.
Do you have any pets? My daughter has a pure white rabbit called Milkie.
What is the best holiday you've ever been on? Best place I’ve been to was St Lucia, pure blue seas, golden sands, great food & drink.
Which radio station are you listening to when you drive? Mainly Heart and sometimes Radio 1.
Favourite place to visit in the South West? Tregantle beach at Whitsands, on a hot sunny day this place is stunning.
Favourite Film? Scary Movie.
First concert you ever went to? Simply Red at the Cornwall Coliseum.
Tipple of choice? Always cider, either Strongbow or Thatchers Gold.
If the world ends tomorrow, what would you choose as your last meal? It would be steak and plenty of English mustard.
What’s at the top of your bucket list? My eldest son moved to Australia 4 years ago, so a visit to him is top of the list.
What are you most looking forward to this year? Christmas.
