Meet Andrew Hawkins, our Truro LCV Local Business Development Manager. Andrew has been in the motor trade for an astonishing nineteen years, bringing a wealth of knowledge to the business. You can rest assured you will be in great hands when dealing with Andrew.

Where are you from?
I grew up in Street, Somerset but now live near Liskeard.
Favourite Mercedes-Benz model?
The legendary Sprinter – The original and the best.
Have you always been in the motor trade? What did you do before?
I joined Westover Nissan Bournemouth in 2003 selling cars and then a year later started working for Peugeot/Citroen in Dorchester where I became the ‘Van Man’. We moved to Cornwall in 2010 where I joined Yeomans Citroen in Plymouth before moving to work at Truscotts Peugeot in 2015. I was approached by Peter Kingwell in February this year when heinvited me to join the team here at Mercedes Benz Truro.
Favourite part of the job?
Working with the brilliant team at Mercedes-Benz Truro and the fabulous customers that we look after. Knowing that you have provided a customer with the best possible experience purchasing their new commercial vehicle is a great feeling.
How many attempts did it take you to pass your driving test?
Two attempts. I hit the kerb doing the reverse park on the first attempt!
Favourite place to visit in the South West?
My favorite place to visit is Looe. I am a keen kayaker and fish and chips on the beach after a good sea paddle is just the best.
Favourite Film?
Top Gun: Maverick was brilliant!
Favourite Band/Artist?
3 Daft Monkeys – A local Cornish band who are amazing live and always guarantee a good night out and being from Somerset I grew up with The Wurzels – Can’t beat a bit of scrumpy and western!
Tipple of choice?
A bottle of ‘Tribute’ every time
