How We're Taking Care of You
Amid the current concerns surrounding public health, I wanted to take the opportunity to write to you personally to keep you informed of the steps that we are taking to keep our customers safe, and to prepare for all scenarios.
We can come to you
During this stressful time we want to make things as easy as possible. Did you know that we offer a collection and delivery service for purchases and part-exchange, as well as vehicles that are coming to us for routine maintenance? We have increased our driver resource to make this available to even more customers to ensure that you don’t miss out on vital checks for your vehicle.
Minimise your visits
We have a number of tools to help you from the comfort of your home. Our website is full of useful resources including model overviews, pricing and stock availability. Our sales teams are able to conduct appointments via telephone, and we are working on provision for video calling. Please contact us for more information. If you're visiting us for a sale or part exchange, please bring the following documentation with you to reduce the likelihood of a return visit: For Purchase: - Driving Licence - Utility Bill* - Passport* *Paper licence holders only For Part-Exchange: - V5 Logbook - Service book - MOT certificate
Hygiene is our highest priority
We are taking extra steps to ensure that our dealerships are maintained to the highest levels of cleanliness. All of our dealerships will be supplied with additional sanitizing materials including products to ensure that all of our vehicles are kept clean to the very highest standards. Along with our exceptionally high quality valeting, we will be sanitizing vehicles after each test drive including cleaning steering wheels and door handles. We have also increased the regularity of cleaning at our dealerships. Our staff are also working to minimize the risk of germs spreading. All of our service teams will be carrying out all work using Personal Protective Equipment including gloves, and steering wheel covers. In light of the current situation we ask that you avoid shaking hands with our staff, but please know that you are as welcome at our dealerships as ever.
Keeping everyone healthy
Our business is open as usual. If you are visiting us in the coming days and weeks, we ask that you adhere to these suggestions:
- Avoid handshakes.
- Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or sleeve when coughing or sneezing. Place tissues in the bin after use.
- Wash your hands at regular intervals, including the wrists.
If you have recently visited an infected area, or have been in recent close contact with someone who is self-isolating, please consider postponing your visit. Our customer service and sales teams are keen to help you as much as possible over the phone on 03301 730 280, or via email so please do use these methods of communication if an in-person visit isn’t possible. We will be updating our website with any changes. Please visit www.mercedes-benzsouthwest.co.uk/news for the latest information. As always, customer safety is our highest priority and we will be closely monitoring government advice and taking any necessary steps to support the control of the virus. We are proud to be a local, family run, South West business. We thank you for your continued support in these challenging times. Mike Wickins Managing Director Mercedes-Benz South West
