Socially Distanced Easter Egg Hunts In The South West

29 Mar 2021

Easter may be a little different again this year but thankfully the weather is set to brighten up just in time for Easter Sunday! With the Rule Of Six now in place, there has never been a better time to jump in your Mercedes-Benz and join your loved ones for an outdoor socially distanced day out!

We've rounded up a number of outdoor Easter Egg Hunts taking place across the South West:

Cornwall

Get some soothing sea air and enjoy a pirates Easter Egg Hunt at Watergate Bay.   Search for the Easter Bunny on the trails at Trengwainton Garden.   Enjoy the cheerful daffodils whilst your children collect chocolate treats at Lanhydrock.   Hey Mercedes take me to the Easter Egg Hunt at Trelissick.

Devon

Have some chill time and take on the Easter Walking Trail at Canonteign Falls.   Challenge yourself on the Easter adventure trail at Buckland Abbey.   Explore the ancient woodland this Easter at Castle Drogo.   Get really stuck in the Easter Spirit with the Easter Challenger at Lydford Gorge.

Somerset

Get a truly Royal experience with the Easter Egg Hunt at Dunster Castle   Burn off all that chocolate through the picturesque orchards at Montacute House   Work your way through the garden of ‘rooms’ at Lytes Cary Manor   Explore the wild gardens filled with chocolate treats at Fyne Court

Or your back garden!

Is your car still due a good spring clean? Go the Eggstra mile for your family without even leaving the house! Here are our top tips for hosting a great Easter Egg Hunt in your own back garden: 1. Avoid any arguments - We all know our kids can be competitive, especially with one another. To avoid any fall-outs colour code the Easter Eggs and give each child their own colour. 2. Cater for all ages - We want Easter to be fun for the whole family so make sure you give your older kids more of a challenge and keep the hiding places simple for the tots, that way everyone is entertained and has their eggs! 3. Keep them on their toes - Give your child a giggle by disguising some of the eggs with other Easter themed trinkets such as bunnies, mini ducks or a hot cross bun! 4. Switch it up - Add in some extra sweet treats such as fruit cut into Easter themed shapes for those who either have allergies or just don’t like chocolate! 5. Time to get crafty - It’s super fun hiding all the eggs but it’s important to make sure all the kids each have their own basket to keep track of their treats. Why not create your own baskets from recycled items in your own back garden? 6. Keep Track - Make sure you have an idea of where all the eggs are hidden to avoid tears and disappointment! 7. Enjoy Yourself! *Please note that you will need to check the websites of these attractions before attending as you may have to book and check their social distancing guidelines. We’d love to see some pictures of your Easter Eggs hunts! Send them to us at [email protected] or via our Facebook page.
