Easter Activities in the South West

Easter is on the horizon and after two years of covid restrictions, this year we are all about getting outdoors and experiencing new adventures. To help you plan your half term, we have put together our pick of eggcellent activities around the South West that are fun for the whole family!

Cornwall

National Trust Easter Egg Hunt - from the 9th April 2022, the National Trust will be holding Easter trails for locals to enjoy. You can pick from a range of parks such as Antony, Tresslick and many more. Head down to your nearest national trust park, grab your activity pack and take part in the nature-inspired activities along your way to collect your Rainforest Alliance chocolate egg. Ideal for little ones or those who would enjoy a historic walk.

English Heritage Easter Quest - from the 2nd of April 2022, the English Heritage will be holding an adventure quest at Pendennis Castle. The quest involves clues, challenges and traditional Easter games such as egg rolling and the egg and spoon race.

Flambards - from the 2nd of April 2022, Flambards will have a combination of Easter activities and entertainment. Pop down to meet Ferdi the Fox and watch the Billy Wizz Magic Show, perfect for the little ones. There are also lots of activities for older children, making this the perfect day out!

Eden Project - from the 9th of April 2022, the Eden Project have organised a fantastic day full of seeking and festive games; perfect for the whole family to enjoy. Come along and discover the great outdoors.

Devon

National Trust Easter Egg Hunt - like Cornwall, from the 9th of April 2022 the National Trust will be holding an Easter trail for locals to enjoy. There are a large variety of parks to choose from; Saltram, Castle Drogo and Killerton to name a few. Come on down to your local park and take part in the festivities!

Babbacombe Model Village - from the 2nd of April 2022, Babbacombe Model Village have organised an Easter themed treasure hunt. Find all of the colourful eggs hidden around the little village. Once complete, young explorers can enjoy a chocolatey treat. 

Pennywell Farm - if you're looking for an Easter egg hunt with animals then you don't want to miss this! Pennywell Farm have designed an Easter egg hunt that is fun for all ages. Follow the clues and keep an eye out for the eggs and bunnies while adding the answers on your trail sheet. Once complete, head to the Easter Bunny's Holiday Home for a sweet treat. You will also have the opportunity to enter the egg-stravaganza photo competition for a chance to win a huge prize. 

Crealy - from the 9th of April 2022, Crealy are holding an Eggo-Saurus Dino Hunt. Volunteers can help discover the secret location of dinosaur eggs across the theme park. Head on down, grab your prehistoric map and look out for fossil footprints, bones and mysterious large eggs to help you on your quest. Once complete, you can collect your chocolatey reward from Dinosaur HQ. 

Somerset

National Trust Easter Egg Hunt - Similar to Devon and Cornwall, the National Trust will have a range of local Easter trails around their Somerset parks from the 9th of April 2022. Some of which are Lytes Cary Manor, Prior Park and Fyne Court. Pop on down to your local park, collect your adventure pack and discover nature on your way to retrieve your Rainforest Alliance chocolate egg.

Bishops Palace - from the 8th of April 2022, Bishops Palace have a variation of exciting activities. From Easter storytelling to an Easter egg trail, there is something for everyone!

Somerset & Dorset Railway - on the 17th and 18th of April 2022, Somerset & Dorset Railway have organised a festive day of activities, refreshments and their very own Easter egg hunt. A great day out for the whole family.

Easter at Hestercombe  - from the 2nd of April 2022, Hestercombe have a range of activities planned for the Easter Holidays featuring Bertie bird and his feathered friends. You can attend the Petting Zoo, the Bunny Marshmallow workshop, and much more.
