E-Class Estate Facelift
Since 1977, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Estate has been a consistent success among the upper-mid and luxury class of estate cars.
The newest facelift marks the seventh generation of the E-Class Estate.
What’s new?
Design
The new E-Class Estate features so much more space. The width has increased by 28mm and the wheelbase is now 2,961mm thanks to an additional 33, giving rear passengers more leg room, elbow space, and comfort.
Although the roofline is more dynamically designed, the new E-Class Estate scores again with functionality and load compartment volume, which can be expanded from 615L to 1,830L. Combined with the raked rear window, the overall appearance is very progressive.
Driving
The facelift features AGILITY CONTROL suspension and single-chamber air suspension on the rear axle as standard, which features a compact design, maintains ride comfort, and ensures the vehicle remains horizontal when it has a full load on board.
Sustainability
Several E-Class Estate components are partly made from resource-saving materials, which are recycled and renewable raw materials. Upholstery made from undyed alpaca wool combined with a recycled material are used for the basic seat. For the first time, certified recycled raw materials are used in the foam of the seats.
Interior
As with the new E-Class Saloon, several new technological innovations are featured, such as:
- MBUX Superscreen
- New third-party apps with selfie and video camera
- Sound Visualisation as part of Active Ambient Lighting
- Automated comfort functions and routines
- Digital air vents
