More and more driving apps have been released over the years to help make our time behind the wheel more enjoyable, convenient and safe. These apps provide services that range from mapping the nearest fuel stations, to user created traffic updates, to mobile hosted dash cams. Here we look into some of our favourites, including the innovative solutions brought to you by Mercedes-Benz. WazeFlo This apps aim is to make you drive more safely, save on fuel and logs all your trips. Flo gives you instant feedback on how you drive, while you drive. All the data is accessible on your smartphone. It automatically records your trip and gives you real time feedback and a driving score. You will also have a free online profile. Shell Drivers Club Shell's app is designed to say thank you for the miles you travel. Collect points on fuel, helix oil and car washes. Redeem the points on fuel savings and with their partners like Waitrose, and British Airways. They also offer a fill up and go app. This allows you to pay for your fuel via your phone without having to go into the station. Drivers Club This app is a fuel finder with exclusive offers for you to redeem while you fill up. The app pinpoints 1000s of UK forecourts for your perusal. You will also get monthly offers and keep you up to date with the hottest driving news. Waze Waze is the world's largest community-based traffic and navigation app. Join other drivers in your area who share real-time traffic and road info, saving everyone time and gas money on their daily commute. iCarMode iCarMode is like your in-car dashboard, providing quick access to things you need most when you’re on the road. Some of its features are Music player, contacts, GPS, Keypad, park locator, parking meter, places nearby and you can customize it. Carcorder This is a professional app for recording your trips. It integrates video recording, GPS, routing, over speed warning and augmented reality into a powerful package. Drivemode Have you ever received a Facebook Message, but couldn’t respond because you were behind the wheel? Or wanted to change music tracks, but couldn’t without juggling around Spotify and Google Maps? Now with Drivemode, you won’t have to worry about any of these problems with our easy-to-use interface made specifically for your car. Some of the features are voice reply, easy to use music player, and quick search navigation. Mercedes apps Mercedes-Benz has 5 apps and these range from the magazine to being able to unlock your car from your phone. Mercedes-Benz Guides App provides you with quick access to videos, owner’s manuals and animations. The very clear arrangement in four vehicle segments in all provides convenient selection for all users. Keywords provide quick answers to questions about operating a specific vehicle. In addition, users can set bookmarks to access favourite content directly. With the exception of videos, all content is also available offline after downloading. Mercedes-Benz Magazine App lets users experience the full fascination of Mercedes-Benz on the iPad, iPad mini and iPhone. Every three months, the magazine publishes the latest news about innovations, new vehicle models, updated images, 360-degree views, fashion, lifestyle, design, and more. Charge&Pay App allows drivers of a hybrid or electric vehicle from Mercedes-Benz to find and use charging stations with great ease. A map displays unoccupied charging points at charging stations throughout Germany. Cashless payments can be made quickly via PayPal, immediately after charging. Other features include starting and stopping the charging process, a logbook with an overview of all charging times and costs and display of a charging station’s availability. The Mercedes me App keeps vehicle owners up to date at all times. Be it checking the tyre pressure, odometer reading, brake pads or the fuel level – the personal door to the world of Mercedes-Benz is always open. In addition to a host of technical details about the car, users can also get personalised news relating to their vehicle as desired. In the event of a breakdown, users of the app are provided with prompt on-site assistance through direct contact with customer support or the transfer of the vehicle data.
