Digital Extras: what is the remote package?

Through the remote Digital Extras you can stay connected to your Mercedes-Benz at all times. 

Most Digital Extras are free of charge for the first few years after activation, but if you’d like to continue using them, you can renew them or even purchase a package to benefit from a range of Digital Extras.

What’s included in the Remote Package?

Remote Control, Valet Service Mode

If someone else is going to be driving your car, let’s say your good friend’s car has broken down, so you’re lending them your Mercedes-Benz until it gets fixed, you can stay in control and activate the drive program with limited power. This means that acceleration and speed can be limited.

You can also restrict access to personal profile data.

Remote Door Locking and Unlocking 

This digital extra allows you to open and lock your Mercedes-Benz with your phone, tablet, or computer.

Personalisation

You’ll have the ability to save personal profiles to your vehicle and access them via your Mercedes me ID online.

Programming of Auxiliary Heating/Ventilation

Want to be able to heat your car up to be toasty warm on frosty mornings or cool it down after it’s been sat directly in the sun all day? Well you can do exactly that with the programming of auxiliary heating and ventilation. 

Theft Notification and Parking Damage Detection

You can be notified if your car gets stolen, towed away or damaged, giving you peace of mind.

Remote Window and Sunroof Control

You can open and close your windows and sliding sunroof remotely. 

Remote Window Control

You can open and close the windows of your Mercedes-Benz remotely.

Parked Vehicle Locator

Can’t remember where you parked your car exactly? The Parked Vehicle Locator digital extra allows your smartphone to navigate you to your parked vehicle. 

Geofencing

With the Geofencing digital extra, you can define an area and receive a notification if your Mercedes-Benz is driving outside that defined area. This could come in handy if someone’s borrowing your car and they’re driving a little further away than they probably should be. 

Remote Vehicle Finder

Struggling to locate your car in the dark? You’ll have no issues with the Remote Vehicle Finder which can give off a light signal. 

Valet Protect

Receive a notification of your Mercedes-Benz is being driven without authorisation.

Speed Fencing

You can define a maximum speed and be notified if that defined speed has been exceeded. This could be ideal when you’ve lent someone your Mercedes-Benz. 

Vehicle Tracker

Have a gut feeling that your Mercedes-Benz isn’t parked at home on the driveway? The Vehicle Tracker Digital Extra allows you to keep an eye on your Mercedes-Benz at all times and can even track where it’s travelling in real time.
