Parking for navigation

Find searching for parking stressful? The Available Parking Spaces digital extra intelligently locates parking spaces in multi-storey car parks and on the street.

 Once you decide on a particular spot, you’ll receive information like opening times and prices, or even payment options. For spaces on the street, you’ll get information about the size of the space and how long it’s been since the space became available.

Weather map

The weather map digital extra shows you precisely on the map where it’s cloudy, sunny or raining.

Weather forecast

The MBUX weather forecast shows you what the weather’s like for your current location, your destination or any location of your choice.

Local search

Looking for a particular attraction? You can use a voice command to instruct your Local Search Digital Extra or you can enter information by using the central controls.

Live traffic information

The Life traffic information digital extra uses the latest details to make everything run as smoothly as possible on a journey. Your route will automatically be modified if there’s been an accident for example – allowing you to continue your drive on less congested roads.

Your arrival time is also updated in real time, allowing you to know exactly when you’re expected to get there.

Car-to-X Communication

The Car-to-X communication technology allows vehicles to exchange information in real time. What this means is that your Mercedes-Benz can communicate with other Mercedes-Benz cars via secure data networks to a Mercedes-Benz server.

You can also send a warning manually to other drivers about imminent danger, so a car will practically be able to see around bends and corners.

This will show up as a marking on the navigation map, or you’ll be told through a spoken announcement.

Online Map Update

With this digital extra, there’s no more taking your car to the workshop to have your navigation data updated. You can always have the latest maps with the online map updates.

You can either set this to update automatically, or you can select for the updates to occur only after confirmation.

Online-Routing

Using real-time traffic data from the cloud, your Mercedes-Benz’s navigation system will know the best way to get you to your destination. If something like bad weather or an accident occurs, your Mercedes-Benz will find a quicker route for you to take.

You can either select a different route yourself or you can drive directly along a new route which will automatically activate it in the system.

Satellite Images

If you want to know a bit more about your destination, the satellite images digital extra is the perfect helping hand. If you’re staying at a hotel for the weekend and want to know where the entrance is exactly or where the nearby car park is, you can look at the navigation map and set it to satellite view to see the layout of a street or area.
