The colour of a car is often a contribuitng factor when it comes to buying a new car, and it's always interesting to see what the top car colours of the previous year has been.
We're taking a look at the most popular car colours purchased at our Mercedes-Benz South West dealerships, and exploring what your favourite car colour says about you!
What does your car colour say about you?
The colour of a person's vehicle does not necessarily say anything about their personality or character. Some people choose a certain colour for practical reasons, such as wanting a colour that is less likely to show dirt, while others choose a colour that they simply like or that matches the colour of their house. According to Hot Cars, the reason you choose a particular colour for your car may reflect your individual personality and how much you want to stand out from the crowd. The Daily Mail has also weighed in on what your car colour could say about you.
Black
Black has always been a popular colour, they’re elegant yet stylish and an all-time classic. According to Carmoola, “Black is the colour selected by people who want to convey authority. Black automobile drivers tend to be perfectionists and control freaks as well.”
Grey
On the other end of the spectrum, we have grey car owners. These people would rather not be in the spotlight. They avoid attention in opposition to their red-car counterparts. “Owners of grey cars could have a more conservative outlook. They are measured, think things through, don't make rash decisions. Typically, they're not spontaneous.
White
White vehicles owners are seen to be unassuming and convey a notion of purity and calmness. Individuals who select white colored cars prefer a detachment from the commotion and clamor of the outer world.
Blue
Blue is a worldwide symbol to emulate calm, so it’s no surprise that Blue car owners are said to be logical and rational, Hot Cars also added that these individuals are seen as approachable.
Red
A red car is said to portray confidence and an adventurous risk-taking spirit, red-car owners enjoy being the centre of attention and hogging the spotlight. “They're likely to be confident, always seeking the next adventure and they always live life in the fast lane. They take risks, not always calculated ones. They're very spontaneous and likely to be the liveliest friend, and the most bold outgoing one.”
