It is with great pleasure that we get to look back over our highlights of the last twelve months. 2017 has been a year filled with exciting model releases, new local partnerships and competitive successes.

We kicked off the year with a very special film shoot at Dunkeswell Aerodrome. The C-Class, SLC and A-Class were put through their paces and we drafted in automotive blogger Chris Baines to discuss performance and best features. We were very lucky to team up with local family and lifestyle blogger Muminanutshell in February. We wanted to know how the C-Class Saloon faired as a family car and, after trying one out one Spring weekend, Ali kindly put together this review. Want to know more? See our interview with Ali here.

In April we welcomed 42 members of the Mercedes-Benz Owner's Club into our Exeter Showroom. We were wowed by the impressive collection of Mercedes-Benz models on show with attendees showcasing the best of old and new - including a 300 SEL, an SLS Gullwing and a W124. Read more about the day here.
2017 also saw the launch of our first dedicated group website. This allows us to provide up-to-date information from your nearest dealerships and bring you localised offers and service updates. There is also a dedicated business portal for those who utilise the Mercedes-Benz range for their business.
We were thrilled to be able to bring you two high performance driving events throughout the summer. The first was based at the stunning Great Barn Devon and the second at Dartmoor's secluded Yarner House. Guests were invited to try out some our most sought after models, including the AMG GT, while indulging in Mercedes-Benz hospitality.
Production started in late September on the 2017 S-Class facelift as a result of Mercedes-Benz updating the exterior and interior of the best-selling saloon in the luxury segment. The change was haloed by even more advanced technology and a new petrol and diesel engine range with improved performance. Visit our model pages to find out more about the S-Class.
We saw great success in MercedesTrophy 2017 with 100's of local golfers competing to progress through the prestigious tournament. You can relive the first round of qualifiers here, with those successful in winning their handicap group then going on to represent the South West in National Finals and onwards.
Finishing off the 2016 competition in style, local golfer James Macey travelled to Stuttgart to represent Team UK in the 2016 World Finals in September this year. Out of over 30 competing countries he helped the team to finish in an impressive 7th place.
The E-Class family grew threefold in 2017 with the addition of the new Coupé and Cabriolet plus the all new All-Terrain. The award winning executive range is known as 'The Masterpiece of Intelligence'. So, as far as we are concerned, the more the merrier!
We couldn't fail to mention another victorious Formula One season for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas team. A new car, a new teammate in Valtteri Bottas and a renewed sense of purpose propelled Lewis Hamilton to secure our fourth consecutive World Championship victory, and his fourth personal World Title.
The stats speak for themselves: by the time the chequered flag waved in Abu Dhabi, the Silver Arrows had racked up 12 race wins, four 1-2 finishes and 26 podiums. Here's to more of the same next season!
