Sustainable Road Trip with Luke Cowan-Dickie

Back in August we took Luke Cowan-Dickie on a sustainable road trip in the stylish EQE. The day began with a trip to the newly rennovated Winslade Manor for some lunch. We then travelled to pick up Luke's son Arlo to take him on a trip to see some of the 2,000 animals at Paignton Zoo.

After Luke spent the day test driving the EQE, we asked him some questions. See what he had to say about driving swapping his GLE for an all-electric for the day:

Q: Do you think the mile range on the EQE would suit your lifetsyle?

A: I do a lot of commuting from training and family activities so I think the mile range would definitely suit my lifestyle.

Q: How does the EQE compare to your current GLE?

A: I was quite doubtful at first as it is an electric car and it is the first time I would have ever driven one, but they are actually very quick and quiet and they are very smooth to drive. Now I have driven one, I will definitely be looking into an electric car.

EQE

The EQE features a sporty 'purpose design' with all the characteristic elements of Mercedes-EQ, one-bow lines and cab-forward design. Sensual Purity is reflected in generously modelled surfaces, reduced joints and seamless design.
The interior design and equipment are clearly based on the EQS, with MBUX Hyperscreen, automatic comfort doors in the front and rear-axle steering, for example, available as optional extras. In terms of noise and vibration comfort, the EQE is among the best in class.
The EQE boasts an impressive 384 mile range and can be charged in appoximately 32 minutes.* The EQE is also one of the first vehicles built with 100% recycled steel from Salzgitter AG (one of the largest steel producers in Europe).
